My Story

Throughout my life, I have experienced many forms of loss and change.

Like most people, I have grieved the loss of loved ones, cherished pets, relationships, friendships, the way life used to be and i've grieved the loss of dreams. But one of the most significant losses I experienced was the loss of myself.

When my children started school, I found myself standing at a crossroads. The house went quiet and so did I. For years, my identity had been centred around being a mother, and suddenly I felt lost. I didn’t know who I was anymore. I wasn’t even sure what I enjoyed or what I wanted for my future.

Looking back, I now recognise that as a period of grief.

At the time, I felt incredibly alone. It was a dark and confusing chapter of my life, filled with uncertainty and a deep sense of disconnection. It was during this period that I discovered meditation. What began as a way to cope became the start of a profound journey of self-discovery, healing, and reconnection with myself.

That journey still continues to this day and it has shaped the work I do in so many ways.

Through my work with Ocean Serenity Wellness, I have had the privilege of supporting countless people navigating their own experiences of loss, change, stress, and emotional overwhelm. Time and time again, I witnessed how many people were carrying grief in silence often without recognising it for what it was. The body holds what the heart hasn’t processed.

This inspired me to take a more holistic approach to supporting others. I began studying Coaching and later a Diploma of Counselling, driven by a deep belief in the importance of mental health, human connection, and creating spaces where people feel truly seen and heard.

Alongside my studies, I volunteer as a Lifeline Crisis Supporter. This role has reinforced something I have always known to be true: people don’t need to be fixed. They need to feel seen and they need to feel heard. They need compassionate support, understanding, and someone willing to sit beside them in their pain.

I have discovered that I am comfortable with the uncomfortable. There is something incredibly powerful about holding space for someone during their darkest moments and witnessing them gradually reconnect with a glimmer of hope, strength, and meaning.

My mission is to help people understand that grief is not limited to the death of a loved one and that support is available. You don’t have to carry it all alone.

I want to offer a compassionate space where people can process what they’re going through, make sense of their emotions, and find a way forward that feels right for them.

Grief can arise from so many things....divorce, illness, relationship breakdowns, life transitions, career changes, empty nesting, lost dreams, identity shifts, and countless other experiences of loss.

Because grief is not just about losing someone.

Sometimes, grief is about losing the person you once were and finding your way back to yourself.

Thats why im expanding my work into grief coaching and if my story resonates with you, please know that you don’t have to navigate your journey alone.
